Hey mobile enthusiasts from San Francisco. Do you check your app store twice a day for updates? Do you have your IMEI number memorized? Do you upload photos or videos to the internet from your mobile device? Maybe you write apps for mobile devices?
Come to MOBILETRON to find like-minded people. This first 0.1 alpha version will happen May 7th, at Receiver Design in San Francisco, 7 – 9:30 PM.
This is going to be an intimate event, for a few of my close friends in Mobile, and we want you there too. I’m planning to provide a few beers, sodas, excellent cookies from Anthony’s Cookies (next door to Receiver). If enough people show up, maybe I’ll order a few pizzas from Seranos Pizza. I’m begging Nokia, Samsung and T-Mobile to bring some not-yet-out devices to play with. We’ll also have a projector set up if anyone would like to demo some software on a device or computer.
Bring your interesting devices! If you’ve got the oldest cellphone ever, bring it. If you’ve got any newer smartphones, bring ‘em! My favorite part of any mobile event is just seeing what devices everyone has in their pockets, you know.
Ewan from Mobile Industry Review will be there with his camera.
Extra special thanks to Jay at Receiver Design for the space and event expertice. We were able to squeeze this event in before the Porous Walker show comes down, so we can marvel at the artistic rantings of a mad-man.
Feel free to email me if you have any questions : matthewb[at]usmobileindustry[dot]com. Hope to see you there!
