CTIA is tough

CTIA is a big wireless show in Las Vegas.  I’m here checking things out, but I’m having a tough time uploading ANYTHING.  Let me tell you how hard my life is.  The Media Room here at CTIA has wireless, but there’s a million people using it, so it’s super slow.

The only phone I have with me is the Music Express 5800.  This phone does not support Shozu (Now it does!) or Share Online (yes it does!),  so I’m not able to uplaod pics from my device (like I have been since 2004!)  I was hoping to have my N95 back from Warranty, but my roommates intercepted my Signed UPS Leave This Here sticker, and stuck it back on my own door, where the UPS guy couldn’t get to it.  Dumb, so my N95 is sitting in a shipping box back in SF.

I also brought a tripod and wireless mic setup, but I left the “big” HD camera at home, plugged into the charger.  Sucks to be me.  On top of that, there were vids on the camera I needed to upload, but I can’t.

Another reason my life sucks is because we flew in yesterday morning.  So I had to haul my 25LBS if incomplete gear around all day yesterday.  I’ll need to do that tomorrow as well, as we’ve gotta check out of the Stratosphere before 11am, when the show starts.  Gotta lighten up the gearbag!

So, yeah.  The other blogs are killing me, and I’m a rank amatuer.  But I’m still having a great time meeting peeps and seeing some new stuff.  More pics and vids in a couple days.  You know, after you’ve already seen it all… : )

    For reasons like this I like having the MWS. I can have vids available instantly from my mobile-enabled website (in MP4 format) and then later upload them to the more popular (and indexed) social networking-like sites.

    In a place like that, I'd be using minimum celluar bandwith (between 3G and free wi-fi, the site would only be down if i took lots of large vids and had no means to portably charge).
