I feel your pain!!! : )

I just read today that the US market is only 6% of the world share. No wonder Nokia ignores us, they've got bigger fish to fry.

The N97 mini and E75 should come with US frequencies. The X6 is also quite nice.

Yeah, bummer. I use my unlocked version E71-2 (bought 1 year ago)with AT&T and was looking really looking forward to getting an unlocked N900. What with all the pre-release hype all over the internet and me being the techno geek that I am, only to be disappointed. I don't understand why they don't manufacture it with a multifrequency data high speed chip like they do with the quad band gsm chip for voice. Nokia losing marketshare yet again! By the time they release a compatible version if they ever do, newer more advanced compatible phones will probably be on the market from some other manufacturer. Who is in charge of marketing over at No(non-compatible)kia ?

True, at&t 3G would be nice for at&t customers. Since I'm on at&t, all I get is EDGE when I'm out and about. But I'm mostly at home or work, where we've got speedy WiFI, so it's not too bad.

The N900 does support T-Mobile's US frequencies, so T-Mo customers are stoked...
