N900 hacking, PUSH, and ’80s toys

Nokia is positioning the N900 in a strange spot. Many “mobile-technology bloggers” are going to move to Maemo 5 on the N900, after years with S60 in it’s various flavors. The high-end normobs will likely stick to the N97 and N97 mini, while the Mobile Fashionistas will likely favor the X6 or N86.

So where does that leave the N900? In the hands of the hackers, that’s where.

To celebrate that fact, Nokia is teaming up with Tinker.IT and Hyper to create a series of electronic art projects mashing up the N900 with 80′s technology toys. Imagine a contacts-enabled Rolodex, if you can, and you’ll get the picture.
