Mark Guim of The Nokia Blog was fortunate enough to visit Stuttgart, Germany for Nokia World ’09 and see the Nokia N900. The N900 is of course the first Nokia to run Maemo 5 OS (based on Linux), and is also the first Maemo device to have a SIM card. With it’s Camera, QWERTY keyboard, and 800 x 480 screen, it should be popular with the Media Creator crowd (bloggers).
Mark also ran into Brett Butterfield, CEO of Pixelpipe, one of my mobile upload services. Pixelpipe allows you to easily upload a picture, video, tweet or status update from your phone. Once the media is uploaded, Pixelpipe redistributes it to all of the compatible sites that you have set up, Pixelpipe supports over 100 sites. And Pixelpipe already works on the as-of-yet unreleased N900.
It’s never been easier to simply snap a picture, then transmit it in the background from your phone, and have it instantly appear to your followers all over the internet. Now it’s simple to shot a video, and instantly share it on YouTube, Vimeo, Blip, Yahoo Video, all at once. You can update your status message on Twitter, Facebook, and Jaiku all from one easy interface on your phone. Get it? All you need is your phone.
